Understanding Our Breeds
What Is a Bernedoodle?
Bernedoodles are a gentle, affectionate mix of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Known for their loyalty, intelligence, and low-shedding coats, they make exceptional family companions with calm, eager-to-please temperaments.
What Is an Entledoodle?
An Entledoodle combines the Entlebucher Mountain Dog with the Poodle. They are energetic, highly intelligent, agile, and low-shedding. Their upbeat personalities make them wonderful working dogs and devoted family pets.
Generations Explained
F1 puppies are 50/50 Poodle × Mountain Dog. F1B puppies are 75% Poodle, often with curlier coats. F2 puppies are second-generation mixes with varied coat types, shedding levels, and temperament blends.
Size Differences
Tiny Minden Mountain Doodles are typically 15–20 lbs, Minis are 25–50 lbs, and Standards are 50–90 lbs. Males often grow larger than females, and smaller sizes typically enjoy longer lifespans.
